Nicole founded Fitzgerald Mediation PLLC in 2018. The firm’s practice centers on divorce mediation and collaborative law. In addition to her private practice, she is a Hearing Examiner for the City of Rochester Parking & Municipal Code Violations Bureau conducting hearings and making rulings of fact and law.
Nicole worked at Harris, Chesworth, Johnston, & Welch, LLC for 13 years where she practiced family and matrimonial law. She also represented children in child welfare, custody, PINS (Person in Need of Supervisions), and delinquency matters. In 2008 Nicole received the William E. McKnight Volunteer Award given for service reflecting the commitment to equal justice.
Nicole graduated from the University at Buffalo Law School. She has studied basic and advanced mediation with New York Center for Interpersonal Development.

Attorney Nicole A. Fitzgerald has been practicing matrimonial and family law since 2006 and has successfully negotiated hundreds of matters. Nicole is a trained mediator and collaborative law attorney committed to helping clients settle their conflicts outside of court.
Nicole’s first-hand knowledge of litigation of family disputes drives her belief that these issues are best resolved in a collaborative setting. Nicole’s knowledge of matrimonial and family law, gained from years of litigation and continuing legal education, allows for a balanced and realistic view of the situations facing her clients.
Nicole provides mediation and collaborative law services for divorce, separation, custody, post-divorce, and prenuptial agreements.
Nicole offers weekday, evening, and weekend availability to better accommodate your schedule.
